In 1989, the Ginsberg’s were seeking a way to accept credit cards for their home-based business. Their request, however, was denied because they did not meet the requirements set by the bank. As a result, the Ginsbergs started a company that specialized in electronic processing and catered to small- to medium-sized businesses. The company, which became E-Commerce Exchange in 1998, presently has over 200 employees in offices nationwide. Despite their growth, Darrin and Heather remember their roots and are determined to help mom and pop shops establish themselves in the electronic age. | |
